Unlike every other kit on the market this YAK faithfully copies the unusual scale geometry of the landing gear with it?s characteristic bend and forward rake which gives the YAK 54 its unique look, there?s also the option of purchasing a full carbon undercarriage even lighter if you prefer. The beautiful grp cowl is expertly painted to match the scale colour scheme perfectly and has the added bonus of having a bulkhead mounting former bonded in place, pre-drilled and fitted with captive nuts, you don?t have to fiddle about trying to line the cowl up with this YAK just align the four bolts from the inside of the fuz, tighten and the jobs done. The wings are two piece mounted on a alloy tube secured from the inside of the fuz with winged bolts. Both wings slide perfectly into the sides of the fuselage leaving a perfect joint line. All of the control hinges are of the ROBART type, the control fittings are all heavy duty and include cnc grp servo output arms and a closed loop system for the rudder, the control horns and linkages are anodised, the clevises are fully ball-raced for beautifully smooth and precise control. The assembled cnc engine mount just slides into the main fuselage perfectly so lining up your spinner backplate on your engine is so easy. So there you have it an absolutely fantastic ARFT kit of this aeroplane, fit it with a 45cc to 60cc petrol engine, 60cc for full 3D capability and you will have one stunning mode.
